One Piece Stampede Earns Over 9.3 Billion Yen Worldwide

According to the official website for the One Piece franchise, One Piece Stampede Anime film has earned over 5.5 billion yen in Japan, and a combined total of 9.3 billion yen worldwide. The film has screened in Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, North America, France, and Italy.

The film was screened by Funimation within the U.S and Canada with English subtitles and English dub in late October and early November. The film earned over one million USD within the U.S and Canada.

One Piece Stampede is the fourteenth movie of the One Piece film series, based on the manga by Eiichiro Oda, and it commemorates the anime’s 20th anniversary.

The story of the movie as described by Funimation:

Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat pirate crew are invited to a massive Pirate Festival that brings many of the most iconic characters from throughout the franchise to participate in a competition with the Straw Hats to find Roger’s treasure. It also pits the Straw Hats against a new enemy named Bullet, a former member of Roger’s crew.
